What personal data aLcassa holds, why, for how long, and the rights of the people it belongs to.

This document is not yet published.

The outline below is what it will cover. Until it is in force, the agreement governing your workspace is the one in your order form or contract. For a copy, or for anything urgent, email legal@alcassa.co.ke.

  1. Who the data controller is

The distinction that governs everything below: a workspace controls its customers’ data, and aLcassa processes it on that workspace’s instructions.

  2. What is collected

Account details, the messages that pass through connected channels, and the operational logs kept to run the service.

  3. Why, and on what lawful basis

The purpose behind each category, and the basis relied on under the Data Protection Act 2019.

  4. Automated processing

Where an AI assistant reads or drafts messages, what it is permitted to do, and how a person stays in the loop.

  5. Sharing and sub-processors

The channel providers, infrastructure and model vendors involved in delivering the service, and where they are located.

  6. Retention and deletion

How long each category is kept, and what deletion actually removes.

  7. Your rights, and how to exercise them

Access, correction, deletion and objection — including the route for someone whose data sits inside a customer’s workspace rather than ours.
